Tchoupitoulas

Bill Ross IV and Turner Ross recently surprised us with the fascinating Bloody Nose, Empty Pockets (2020), a hybrid between fiction and a documentary about the last night of a dive bar before its closing and its faithful customers. This year, Americana presents Tchoupitoulas, their second feature film. Back in 2012, the two directors already showed their intentions and skills. Winner of various awards after its screening at SXSW and presented for the first time in Spain, Tchoupitoulas is an intense sensory and immersive experience that is worth living.

For the first time in their lives, three teenage brothers discover the nightlife of a New Orleans street that transforms into a frenetic place late at night, with hip hop, jazz, drag queens and strippers, with amazing lights, colors, sounds, smells and people from all walks of life.
