They don’t know each other. In order to avoid any possible betrayal, they call themselves by color-themed pseudonyms. They speak about Madonna and carry out a heist that we don’t even see. But something goes terribly wrong, and the most likely cause is the existence of a snitch among them. As the survivors gather at an abandoned warehouse, suspicions arise, and all the suppressed violence will burst out in a surprisingly dreadful way.
Quentin Tarantino made his debut with this film, which has become one of the most influential films of the 90s. It features a unique style and memorable dialogues, which surprised everyone at the time for their bluntness and originality, and whose impact was so big, that today they are referred to with the name of the director (tarantinian). With the support of a reliable and diverse cast, and with a fascinating usage of music, Reservoir Dogs doesn’t get old every time we watch it, but rather it keeps surprising us by its unequivocal modernity and everlasting originality.
