Montana Story

Cal and Erin, two siblings in their twenties, share the same father but haven’t spoken in years. After their father has fallen into a coma and is put on life support, they return to the family ranch in Montana. Years of resentment and guilt resurface as the half-siblings face vital decisions that must be made together, despite the emotional distance between them.

Directors of What Do We Do With Maisie?, Scott McGehee and David Siegel, return to the indie scene with this introspective drama featuring incredible locations and amazing photography. Haley Lu Richardson and Owen Teague play two half-siblings, haunted by ghosts from their past, who must ride out the immediate present. Screened at the Toronto Festival and after a passage at Deauville, Montana Story comes to Americana as one of the hidden gems of this year’s edition.
