In Alaska, Blake lives her first romance with Joel in spite of his physical limitation and her nocturnal activities.

In Hawaii, Coconut Willie always thought of himself as a free-spirit. Now, he has to face the other side of true love after discovering that he is not the biological father of his son.

In New York City, singer-songwriter Victory reflects on faith and faithfulness as she walks around the streets of NYC with her siblings and her dad, who are singing together in a band. From a nonfiction perspective, LoveTrue is a unique exploration of the challenges of love, and of how past and present experiences shape our decisions when the fantasies of true love fade away.

Does true love exist? In her last documentary, Alma Har’el explores the emotional limits of her real-life protagonists through past and likely future representations. After winning the Best Documentary Feature Award at Tribeca Film Fest in 2011 for her opera prima Bombay Beach, Har’el comes back with another nonfiction feature just as hypnotic and lyrical, which won Best Documentary at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival last year and counts Shia Leboeuf as one of its executive producers.
