Ghostlight

Dan, a construction worker stuck in a monotonous routine, does everything he can to avoid facing the grief of a family tragedy. His life takes an unexpected turn when he is invited to join an amateur theater group rehearsing Romeo and Juliet. As he immerses himself in the play, he finds that fiction provides a space to express the emotions he has long suppressed.

With an intimate mise-en-scène and deeply moving sensibility, Ghostlight explores the healing power of art and the essential role of communication in family relationships. The film earned two Independent Spirit Award nominations and captivated audiences with its humanity and emotional depth, further solidifying directors Kelly O’Sullivan and Alex Thompson (Saint Frances) as key voices in modern American indie cinema.
