En el camino

Veneno is an enigmatic young gay rebel with a traumatic past, carrying a stash of cocaine he needs to sell. He searches for truck drivers willing to take him along and, if necessary, offers his body in return. In a roadside bar, he meets Muñeco, a seasoned driver dealing with drug addiction and family troubles. A complex relationship of dependency arises between the two men, while Veneno’s past relentlessly catches up with them, posing a constant threat.

David Pablos, Goya nominee and winner of the Ariel Award for Best Film for Las Elegidas, presents his latest feature, En el Camino, a queer road-movie fantasy that is as explosive and raw as it is tender and fascinating. With bold sexual scenes and a spirit that echoes the wild, experimental freedom of Kerouac (explicitly referenced in the title), the film has been recognized at festivals such as Morelia and Venice.
