During homecoming dance, Cameron Post (an amazing Chloë Grace Moretz) is caught having sex with her best friend in a car. As a result, her aunt decides to send her to God’s Promise, a gay conversion therapy center that specializes in reorienting young people with sexual “deviations”. There, she meets other boys and girls and even befriends Jane Fonda (Sasha Lane, the actress that captivated viewers with her starring role in American Honey) and Adam Red Eagle (Forrest Goodluck, The Revenant). While she is confined at the camp, Cameron’s strength and sexuality will be tested, as well as the conviction of those who, with their methods, believe they are helping this group of young people.

Winner of Best Film at Sundance, The Miseducation of Cameron Post is one of the most anticipated independent American films of the year. An intelligent mix between comedy and drama, the film shares the stories of those who had and still have to fight for their sexuality, their pride and their self-fulfillment. Subtle, delicate, and steering clear of stereotyped representations of good and bad, the narrative flows between looks, hidden passions and dreams that are waiting to evolve. A beautiful tribute to having the freedom to be who we truly are, with one of the best musical moments of the year.
