Mister Limbo

A young man in a parachute (Hugo de Sousa) lands in the middle of a vast, infinite desert. He does not remember who he is or how he got there. However, as he tries to find his way home, he will come across several people who also seem to wander through this endless wasteland.

After We Used To Know Each Other (Americana 2019), director Robert G. Putka returns to our festival with his next feature film, starring again the reliable de Sousa. This time, Putka takes us on an arid and introspective journey, experienced through a set of individuals who wander aimlessly through this strange wasteland. In the line of films such as Palm Springs (Americana 2020) and the TV series Russian Doll, the characters are also subjected to a “time limbo” that forces them to confront themselves. Featuring some magical moments of contained emotion and others bordering on the most absurd comedy, Mister Limbo is the proof that Putka is a filmmaker who is not afraid to explore the unlimited ground of cinematographic fiction.
