Linoleum
Cameron’s family is a perfect example of the American dream: he has a wife, a son, and a daughter. They all live in a proverbial residential neighborhood and he has a steady job. His dream life seems to be coming to an end due to a series of strange coincidences related to his passion for science and, more specifically, rockets. Cameron soon begins to question the reality in which he lives, the logic of everything, and the relation between his desires and his disappointments.
In the main role, Jim Gaffigan brings a dreamy and nostalgic layer that contrasts with the down-to-earthness that Rhea Seehorn, playing Kim in the series Better Call Saul, and Katelyn Nacon, who plays the daughter, bring to the movie. This effective combination of sci-fi, drama, and comedy transmits the viewers a vital message: make peace with past expectations, look around you, and appreciate what you have.
