First news and Happy Holidays!

The Americana Film Fest team wishes you a happy holiday season and a Happy New Year 2025!

As every year, during these dates we want to offer you a preview of the line-up and the special offer for ticket packs, which this year will be available until January 12.

You can get now your 6-ticket pack for the regular screenings that will be held at the usual venues of the festival (Cines Girona, Espai Texas and Zumzeig) for only €35. This same pack will continue to be available from January 13 and throughout the festival at a price of €40, so you can take advantage of these holidays to get it on sale. The ticket-pack can be shared with other people to attend the festival in the best company, and you can redeem it once we announce the entire festival program by mid-February.

Remember that you can also give this pack to whoever you want since the pack consists of a code that anyone can use.

Give Americana for Christmas!

As usual, we proceed with the traditional preview of the line-up, specifically the opening film, which will be In the Summers by Alessandra Lacorazza, the absolute winner of the last edition of the Sundance Festival, which won the Grand Jury Prize for the Best Film and the award for Best Director. With a cast headed by rapper Residente and Lio Mehiel (Mutt), In the Summers presents us with the reality of a fragmented family throughout the different summers.

The second title we want to announce today is I Saw the TV Glow by Jane Shoenbrun. Shoenbrun’s new film after We’re All Going to the World’s Fair continues collecting awards and nominations this season (such as its 5 nominations for the Independent Spirit Awards or its audience award in the Panorama section of the Berlinale). An unclassifiable film about two teenagers fans of a horror series in the 90s.

And more news for the next edition: we can now announce that the special guest will be Ira Sachs, who will come to introduce a retrospective of all his feature films in collaboration with Filmoteca de Catalunya. Sachs has become one of the most interesting independent authors of the moment thanks to titles like Keep the Lights On, Little Men or the recent and acclaimed Passages.

More info next year, now we wish you Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!
